At Tufts Health Freedom Plan, we believe your emotional and physical well-being is closely connected. So we encourage you to take advantage of your behavioral health benefits if you need them. Because your mental health can affect your physical health, we’re here to help you with both.
Some reasons you might seek support include:
You don’t need a referral from your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to see a behavioral health care provider. But your PCP may be able to help you find a professional in your area.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can be another source of support. EAPs typically can help with stress, grief, family problems, alcohol and more. Check with your employer’s human resources department to see if you have an EAP.
Tufts Health Freedom Plan provides a wide range of mental health and substance use disorder information, tools and support for our members.
If you have any questions, please call the Tufts Health Freedom Plan Behavioral Health Department at 800-547-5186. We are available Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Nearly 14 million Americans abuse alcohol or are alcoholic. Just as many are users of illicit drugs.
