Free Smoking Cessation Program

You CAN Quit Smoking! Free patches and coaching for NH residents!

If you live in NH and want to quit any type of tobacco (including e-cigarettes) call
1 (800) QUIT-NOW (784-8669) to speak with a Quit Coach. A Quit Coach will call you when you sign up. A Quit Coach is specially trained to help you break the cycle of using tobacco. Coaching sessions are over the phone and you can choose quitting medicines that fit your lifestyle, at no cost to you!

Quit Now New Hampshire is a service offered through the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health Services, Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program

Coverage for Prescription Smoking Cessation Medications for Tufts Health Freedom Plan Members

If your plan includes Tufts Health Freedom Plan’s pharmacy benefit, the following smoking cessation prescription drugs are covered with no cost share:

  • Bupropion SR
  • Chantix®
  • Nicotrol® Inhaler
  • Nicotrol® NS Spray
  • Zyban® (bupropion)

Smoking cessation counseling services are covered in full with no cost share. Services include individual, group, and telephonic smoking cessation counseling.

Over-The-Counter (OTC) Smoking Cessation Products

Over-the-counter smoking cessation products (such as gums, lozenges, and patches) are covered in full for members with Tufts Health Freedom Plan’s pharmacy benefit, with a valid prescription from your provider, at the time of your purchase.
