Employees Come Together to Walk to End Alzheimer's
A team employees, friends and family raised more than $100,000
An estimated 5.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and 16.1 million unpaid caregivers help take care of their loved ones, including many of our members. It’s the only one of the top 10 causes of death in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
That’s why we Walk to End Alzheimer’s. To help raise awareness and fund research, programs and services for those living with Alzheimer’s.
A team of employees, friends and family represented Tufts Health Freedom Plan in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Manchester again this year.
This was part of a company-wide effort including 250 Tufts Health Plan team members who walked at eight locations across four states and raised more than $100,000. To acknowledge the hard work and commitment demonstrated by all those involved, the Tufts Health Plan Foundation generously matched every dollar raised – bringing the combined contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association to more than $200,000.
Since 2012, the Tufts Health Plan Walk to End Alzheimer’s team and matches from the Foundation have contributed nearly $900,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association. We have been the #1 fundraising team in Massachusetts/New Hampshire for four years in a row and among the top 10 teams in the country.
